Based on current events and some requests from a variety of sources, I am reposting this Substack about drones in modern warfare. In 2010, I wrote a master’s thesis titled “The Children of Aphrodite”[i], where I emphasized America’s lack of readiness to manage the threat posed by drones to our own forces and our homeland. Since then, it’s become an often-cited source document for further research in government agencies and private companies. Now, we see the war in Ukraine taking a heavy turn toward drone use since the attack on the Kerch Bridge.
Re the Darin Gaub article, A Revolution In Military Affairs Is Happening, I have a question regarding the RMA component of drones. Has no one developed something like an EMF-ray gun that can incapacitate them?

Toban extent yes, but the focus was more on interrupting control frequencies.
Thanks, Darin.
