You would have thought I was crazy in January 2020. I started to build a nationwide network of people that was first and foremost grounded in faith in God and trust in each other. With the knowledge that something wasn’t right, and it would only get worse, I kept moving. This was eleven-months prior to the election and just at the outset of COVID #19, and the nation appeared to be healthy and vibrant. But like a body riddled with cancer, the outside can look normal while the inside is dying.
When we lead with faith and conviction, we sometimes do things that look crazy to others, and sometimes to ourselves as well. All I knew is that I had to keep moving forward and the purpose for these efforts would reveal itself later.
A year later I joined US Air Force Brigadier General (retired) Blaine Holt in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. It was one of those meetings where two people who never would have met otherwise found themselves first connected, and then collaborating on a plan that could be part of helping save a nation.
But from what? And didn’t we already have the leadership we needed?
Those answers would reveal themselves in time, as all that’s occurred since January of 2020 would make it clear. It’s also clear that things could get much worse before they have a chance of getting better. Knowing this, it became necessary to continue to build a national team with the experience and capacity to lead through the worst of times. Let’s face it, the political types often lack the capacity to lead. Instead, true leadership grows naturally out of the American population in ways that are not typical or expected.
Our plan is simple in concept but takes a lot of work and patience. The most important component is courage. The second most important is unity rooted in trust. Though the organization and plan have many components, there are four pillars defining our efforts.
1. The Declaration of Constitutional Consent:
Too many have talked about needing a new Constitution and/or Declaration of Independence. We disagree. We need to use the ones we have, as originally written and intended. The Declaration of Constitutional Consent document serves as an educational tool, but also lists many of the grievances the American people have with overreaching government. Citizens can read it, print it, sign it, and send to whomever they like. Citizens can also sign online and the more that do the bigger the message.[i]
2. Constitutional Sanctuary Declarations:
The United States is supposed to be a constitutional sanctuary for its citizens. But our pretend oligarchs and tiny tyrants ignore the rule of law under the constitution for a creeping tyranny fueled by laws not based upon critical constitutional principles. We advocate for citizens pushing their state and county representatives to declare themselves a constitutional sanctuary and tell the federal government to get back in their well-defined and limited powers.[ii]
3. Identifying and promoting Constitutional Candidates
The lesser of two evils is still evil and we will never endorse candidates who do not meet our strict criteria. Signing our candidate questionnaire is a start, and then the hard part begins. Each candidate is vetted to ensure they have the courage, character, competence and constitutional knowledge necessary in our public servants. We focus on school boards, sheriffs, and judges. To support this effort, we maintain a 501c4 non-profit and a SUPERPAC.
4. Civics Education
How does a person fight for their God guaranteed rights if they don’t know the American system of governance and the rights they own in the first place? We provide people of all ages and backgrounds the education they need. Members of our team are well-versed in history and government. They know our founding documents were written to guarantee individual rights first and place people, families, and communities at the top, and the federal government at the bottom. We also show people that failure to abide by the principles in our Declaration of Independence and Constitution means violating the oath of office and places the violator in breach of contract with the American people.
